Contractor Appreciation Week – 2020 POSTPONED
The spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) is an evolving matter with new information unfolding hourly. Benjamin Moore continues to monitor guidelines set forth by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) on a constant basis. During this time of global health concern, please rest assured that we are being proactive to help mitigate the risk of COVID-19 to our people and our business.
To that end, the decision has been made to postpone Contractor Appreciation Week activities scheduled for next week. We recognize that you may have already gone to great lengths to plan these events, however we ask that you take responsibility in the global efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19. We strongly encourage you to postpone until a later and safer time where Benjamin Moore can be fully supportive – and the intent of these being celebratory events with our end-users can be fully achieved.
We understand that limiting any impact COVID-19 could have on our customer service is imperative, and are keenly focused on efforts to maintain a safe work environment and sustain operations. As such, we have activated a Business Continuity Plan which:
Closely screens and/or limits employee travel
Provides best practices to prevent the spread of illness
Ramps up cleaning and disinfecting procedures at every Benjamin Moore facility
Minimizes service interruption in the event of a manufacturing facility or distribution centre closure
Currently, there are no plans to close any Benjamin Moore facilities; however, we are prepared to do so if the decision becomes necessary in the coming days or weeks.
The health and well-being of all employees, retailers and customers is of the utmost importance to us. We are taking the growing risk of COVID-19 seriously and will provide updates as the situation warrants.
